For 24 years, Home of the Hits on Elmwood Avenue was the arbiter of cool; a record store with no equal. Long before the ubiquitous coffee shops commandeered every local street corner, Home of the Hits was a hangout for the underground tastemakers; a place to find that rare piece of vinyl or chat up the merits of the Ramones, Black Flag, or even Steely Dan. For the musicophile, this was our church. Long live Home of the Hits.
